CALLING
VISION FOR MINISTRY
The origin of this ministry comes from God who gave me the name when I was worshipping Him at home on the 1st of January 2006, and the logo was revealed to me a week later as I was explaining how I received the ministry's name to Roberto (my daughter Nicole's boyfriend at the time).
The vision for the ministry came to me towards the latter days of February 2006 when I was relaxing at a lake after scuba-diving. This is what God told me, ”You are not meant to be in that perishable body forever, I want you to die to self and teach others this salvation". The name, logo, and statement, are what I understood to be the vision or mandate for the ministry.
I have been reading the Word of God since I became a Christian in September 2004, but when I received the Ministry's name, logo, and mandate, all in the space of 7 weeks, I had a greater purpose and started studying in more earnestness with no time for anything else, not even friendships, I became a recluse for a season, except for going to church for a short time.
NAME OF MINISTRY
As I was worshipping, I clearly heard the words "Kingdom Come" and had no doubt as to the origin, but being a cautious person, I knew that I needed confirmation to set me at ease. I had no preconceived ideas or thoughts of a name for the ministry before this, and my mind was totally focused on worshipping Him. When God gave me the name of the ministry, I was surprised and asked, “Why such a name because the Kingdom has already come as Jesus has already ushered it in?”. The answer I received was that not everyone knows and that the kingdom still needs to be manifest in people's lives even if they know it has come.
I asked God for confirmation because I was still a very young Christian and perhaps this thought originated from my mind instead of His Spirit. Personally, I would never have considered this name for a ministry but I decided to ask for confirmation in any event. In my thoughts, I asked God to confirm through the pastor and at least one more person at the coming service, all they needed to do was say the words “Kingdom Come”. Well, the pastor said it and so did the whole congregation, in unison, I took that as confirmation.
LOGO OF MINISTRY
I saw the logo right before me in broad daylight in the same manner that I have seen other visions or apparitions in the past since becoming a Christian, i.e.: like other visions, the logo was vivid and clear but I could see the landscape or people (Roberto) behind it because I could see right through it. Visions or apparitions can have many meanings, just as the castle represents a stately place where we live, but in my vision, it represents the kingdom of God or the place (in the heart) I must aspire to. Another example is that certain visions represent certain powers that come against us or for us, by affecting our disposition in various circumstances in life, normally working through people who influence us positively or negatively, however, not everyone will see the same vision representing the same "power", i.e.: the power of danger may be represented to some by the image of a baboon, but as a werewolf to another, and the bigger the apparition the greater the represented danger. In the first three years of my Christianity, I saw, smelled, and felt these powers daily as God kept on warning me of the dangers around me. The visions God gave me regarding these powers identified that they had no face and therefore represented the fact that these powers do not see, smell, or hear like we do because they are spiritual forces that operate on thoughts, beliefs, and emotions, and were there to destroy my joy or peace through the circumstances of life.
